Note: Groups are added from the 46 post codes in the notice. Junior Assistant includes 422 Junior Assistant (Accounts) posts in TNPDCL. Unit wise vacancies will come later. Please check the official notice.

Eligibility: Qualification and Age Limit

Education

• Most posts need an SSLC (Class 10) pass.
• Typist posts need Government Technical Exam in typewriting.
• Steno posts need typewriting and shorthand certificates.
• Some posts need the Computer on Office Automation certificate.

Age limit (on 1 July 2026)

• Minimum age is 18 years. For VAO it is 21 years.
• Maximum age differs by post and category, as listed in the notice.
• Reserved categories, PwBD, ex-servicemen and destitute widows get concessions.

Tamil language

• Candidates must have adequate knowledge of Tamil.
• They must pass the Tamil Eligibility cum Scoring Test (Part A).

Salary Details

Selection Process

1. One written exam on OMR sheets, at SSLC standard.
2. Part A: Tamil eligibility cum scoring test, 100 questions, 150 marks.
3. Part B and C: General Studies and Aptitude, 100 questions, 150 marks.
4. Part A needs 40% (60 marks) for Parts B and C to be checked.
5. Rank is on total marks out of 300, then certificate check and counselling.

• SSLC, HSC and degree marksheets.
• Typewriting, shorthand or computer certificates for those posts.
• Community certificate.
• Proof of Tamil medium or Tamil language study.
• PwBD, ex-serviceman or widow certificates, if any.

How to Apply: Step by Step

1. Visit www.tnpscexams.in.
2. Register on One Time Registration (OTR) and pay ₹150, if new.
3. Fill the Group 4 online application and choose post options.
4. Pay the ₹100 exam fee, unless exempted.
5. Submit by 11:59 PM on 5 November 2026.

• Read the post option rule for Forest Guard and Forest Watcher carefully.
• Mobile phones and smart watches are banned in the exam.
• Edits are allowed only in the correction window.
