About the Organization

The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, functions under the School & Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha. The primary objective of this body is to manage and standardize higher secondary education (+2 level) in the state of Odisha. By introducing the Student Academic Management System (SAMS), the department has completely digitized the admission system, making it highly transparent, merit-based, and student-friendly.

SAMS assists students across the state in securing admission into Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational, and Upashastri streams through a single window online network. This has drastically reduced the paperwork and saved time and effort for students and parents alike.

Why Candidates Should Act Promptly

It is highly recommended that students do not wait until the last date to submit their forms. Due to heavy traffic on the SAMS website towards the deadline, candidates might face technical glitches or server slow-downs. Since Phase-II does not have any reservation system, securing your application on time is extremely vital. Keep in mind that no claims for any vacancies arising after 31st August 2026 for Phase-II, and after 16th September 2026 for SPOT Selection, will be entertained by the authorities. Submit your CAF early, lock your choices carefully, and secure your seat hassle-free.
