Vacancy Position in Schools

• Seats differ from school to school. The notice gives no school-wise list.
• Allotment follows the seats open on 31 October 2026.
• You can choose a school and stream even if it has no vacancy now.
• If a school has no vacancy, you see an alert. Your choice is kept for later vacancies.

Eligibility: Who Can Apply

• Passed the High School Certificate (HSC) exam of BSE Odisha, or an equal exam of another recognised board.
• Could not apply in Phase-I and Phase-II for any reason.
• Selected earlier but did not enrol, or got no seat in Phase-I and Phase-II.
• Took the Transfer Certificate (TC) on or before 31 October 2026.

Who Cannot Apply

• Students already admitted through Phase-I or Phase-II.
• A TC once issued cannot be surrendered during Phase-III.
• No reservation or weightage claim is accepted for vacant seat admission.

CAF Fee Payment Details

• Pay the CAF fee online only, as set in the Common Prospectus.
• Students who applied in Phase-I or Phase-II but got no school can re-apply without the fee.
• They must use their existing login.

Selection Process and Waiting List

1. Students apply through the CAF and choose their schools.
2. After error correction, the school can click Allowed if the marks meet the cut-off.
3. If the marks are below the cut-off, the student goes to the waiting list.
4. The first merit list is out on 4 November 2026.
5. Seats left after the first selection are filled from the waiting list.
6. The waiting list is made at a ratio of 1:10 against the seats left after 10 November 2026.

• All relevant documents, as listed in the Common Prospectus.
• Transfer Certificate, if you have taken it.
• Intimation letter from your SAMS login.
• Originals are verified at the selected Higher Secondary School.

How to Apply: Step by Step

1. Open www.samsodisha.gov.in.
2. New students register with a mobile number and email.
3. Old users log in with their existing credentials.
4. Fill in the Common Application Form (CAF) carefully.
5. Choose your preferred schools and streams.
6. Pay the CAF fee online, if it applies.
7. Submit the form by 11:45 PM on 1 November 2026.
8. Check the merit list on 4 November 2026 and report to the school.

Important Instructions for Students

• Read the Common Prospectus on the SAMS portal before you fill the CAF.
• You can edit the CAF up to four times till the last date.
• Apply in person and choose your own school.
• Wrong or incomplete details can lead to rejection.
