The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) has released Notification No. Rc.No.189/Rect./Rect.2/2026, dated 29 July 2026, for direct recruitment to Police Constable (Civil, AR, SAR CPL), Special Protection Force Constable, Fire Fighter, and Warder posts. A total of 7,112 vacancies are available across the Telangana Police, Special Protection Force, Fire Services, and Prisons & Correctional Services Departments. Applications will be accepted online only, with exact dates to be announced through a Press Release.

Who Can Apply

Indian citizens meeting the age, educational qualification, medical standards, and physical measurement criteria specific to each post may apply. Home Guards with a minimum of 360 days of continuous service within 2 years are also eligible under relaxed age norms.

Age Limit (as on 1 July 2026)

Additional age relaxation: 5 years for Telangana Government employees (subject to max 5 years of regular service), 3 years for Ex-servicemen (in addition to armed forces service length), 3 years for NCC Instructors, and 5 years for SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates. For women candidates in Post Codes 21, 22, 25, 26 & 28 who are widowed/divorced/judicially separated, maximum age is 40 years (SC/ST) or 35 years (others).

Educational Qualification

Must have passed Intermediate or its equivalent examination recognized by the State Government, as on 29 July 2026 (date of notification). Candidates with higher qualifications are also eligible.

Technical Qualification (Post Code 26 – Fire Fighter): Must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license as on the date of notification.

Physical Standards

ST relaxed standards apply to candidates from Adilabad, Komarambheem-Asifabad, Mancherial, Nagarkurnool, Khammam, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, and Warangal Agency Areas.

Eyesight: Distant and Near Vision 6/6 (Right & Left Eye) on Snellen scale, full field of vision in each eye. Colour blindness, squint, or morbid eye conditions are disqualifying.

Application Fee

Fee amount is determined dynamically on the TSLPRB online application portal based on category (OC/BC pay standard fee; SC/ST candidates local to Telangana pay a concessional fee). A rebate of Rs.50-100 per additional post is available for candidates applying to multiple TSLPRB notifications within 3 months. Fee once paid is non-refundable.

Selection Process

Selection follows a multi-stage process:

1. Preliminary Written Test (PWT): One 3-hour objective exam for all applicants.
2. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET): For candidates qualified in PWT — includes Height measurement, Long Jump, and Shot Put events.
3. Final Written Examination (FWE): One 3-hour exam for candidates qualified in PMT/PET.
4. Certificate Verification.

PET qualifying standards (Long Jump/Shot Put) for General Men: Long Jump 4 metres, Shot Put (7.26 kg) 6 metres; for Ex-servicemen Men: Long Jump 3.50 metres; for Women (Post Codes 21, 22, 25, 26, 28): Long Jump 2.50 metres, Shot Put 4 metres.

Important Notes

• Candidates who apply for more than one TSLPRB notification within 3 months of this notification will have their Physical Measurement/Efficiency Test conducted only once, with the same scores valid across all applicable posts.
• Name and date of birth accepted is strictly as per Secondary School Certificate/Matriculation records — no other documents (horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts) will be accepted.
