Who Can Apply

• You must be a President’s Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) Holder in any section.
• You should have been an active member of a Scouting/Guiding organization for the last 5 years.
• You must have attended at least two events at National Level (or All India Railway’s level), and two events at State Level.

How Selection Works

Selection is based on a 100-mark evaluation combining a written test and your scouting record:

• (A) Written Test/Hybrid (CBT-cum-Physical) Exam – 60 Marks: 40 objective questions (40 marks) plus 1 essay-type question (20 marks) on Scouts & Guides organization, activities, and General Knowledge. Duration: 1 hour. There’s negative marking – 1/3rd mark deducted for every wrong answer.
• (B) Marks on Certificates – 40 Marks: Based on your participation in National Events/Jamborees, State Events/Rallies, Specialized Scout/Guide courses, and District Rallies – more certificates and events attended earn more marks.

Minimum qualifying marks in the Written Test/Hybrid Exam: UR-40%, OBC/SC/ST-30% for Level-1 posts; UR-40%, OBC/SC-30%, ST-25% for Level-2 posts.

Application Fee

Fee must be paid online only. If you’re applying for both Level-1 and Level-2 posts, you need to fill separate forms and pay the fee separately for each.

2. Upload a passport-size photo (not older than 3 months) in Scout/Guide uniform, with clear front view, no cap or sunglasses.
3. Upload self-attested copies of certificates supporting your age, community, educational qualifications, and Scouting/Guiding qualifications as per the notification.
4. Pay the applicable fee online, separately for each level you’re applying to.
