Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP), HR-L&D Department, has invited applications for 710 apprentice seats for 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961: 516 Trade (ITI) Apprentices, 124 Technician (Diploma) Apprentices and 70 Graduate Apprentices. First apply on the NAPS / NATS portal by 20 October 2026, then attend the walk-in at HRDC, Bhilai as per your trade, between 27 October and 21 November 2026.

Qualification: Degree/Diploma in the respective discipline from a Govt. recognised institute/university. Stipend: Rs 12,300 per month for Graduate and Rs 10,900 per month for Diploma apprentices (or as per MSDE rates). 50% is paid by BSP and 50% by BOPT through DBT.
Eligibility Conditions
- You must have passed the qualifying exam as a regular candidate.
- You must have passed in the last five years – 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026.
- Candidates whose result is not declared by the last date are not eligible.
- Those who have already done or are doing apprenticeship, or have 1 year of job experience, are not eligible.
- Age: 18 to 28 years as on 31 October 2026. Reservation and age relaxation as per Govt. of Chhattisgarh guidelines.
Walk-in Schedule (Reporting 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM)
Note: Stenographer & Secretarial Assistant (English) is listed in the vacancy table but does not appear in the walk-in schedule. Please check with BSP or the official notice for its date.

- Self-attested copy of Matriculation certificate (date of birth)
- Self-attested copy of provisional pass certificate
- Self-attested copy of SC/ST/OBC/PH certificate (if applicable)
- Self-attested copy of Aadhaar card / pass book (e-KYC validation is mandatory)
- Medical fitness certificate from a Govt. hospital
- Apprentice registration copy from the NAPS/NATS portal
How to Apply
- ITI candidates: Register on https://apprenticeshipindia.org, log in, go to Apprenticeship Opportunity, search establishment ‘SAIL BHILAI STEEL PLANT’ and apply for your trade.
- Degree/Diploma candidates: Register as a student on https://nats.education.gov.in, go to Establishment Requests > Find Establishments, select ‘Steel Authority of India Limited, Bhilai Steel Plant’ and apply in your branch.
- Complete the portal application by 20 October 2026. Your bank account must be DBT-enabled and KYC-verified.
- Enter marks in percentage (convert CGPA as per your university norms).
- Attend the walk-in on your trade’s date with all documents.
BSP will not provide accommodation during the training.
