Bawal project has the highest number of helper posts with 74 seats. Jatusana leads in worker posts with 29 seats. Even the urban area of Rewari has 59 combined posts.

Note one thing carefully. The department has said these numbers can increase or decrease. The village-wise and ward-wise list of vacant posts is pasted on the notice boards of the WCDPO offices and the District Programme Officer’s office. Check that list to confirm a vacancy in your own village or ward.

Who Can Apply

Only women can apply for these posts. This is the basic rule of Anganwadi recruitment.

There is one more important condition. You must be a permanent resident of the Gram Panchayat or Ward where the post is vacant. A woman from another village cannot apply for that seat. All villages falling under a Gram Panchayat are counted together.

So first check the notice board list. If your own Panchayat or Ward has a vacancy, you are in the game.

Educational Qualification

The qualification is different for the two posts:

  • Anganwadi Worker: Minimum 12th pass (Intermediate). The merit list is prepared from your actual 12th class marks.
  • Anganwadi Helper: Minimum 10th pass (Matric). The merit list is prepared from your actual 10th class marks.

Higher education gives you extra marks in the merit list. For the Worker post, graduation adds 3 marks and post-graduation adds 5 marks. For the Helper post, 12th pass adds 3 marks and graduation adds 5 marks.

So if you have studied more than the minimum, your chance becomes stronger. Keep all your mark sheets ready.

Age Limit

Maximum Age

Special Categories (widow, divorced, deserted, etc.)
Up to 45 years
Age Counted As On
01 July 2026

Your age must be between 18 and 42 years as on 01 July 2026. This covers a very wide range of women.

Special relaxation goes up to 45 years. It applies to widows, divorced women, deserted women, women whose husband is serving a jail sentence, and women whose husband has 70% or more disability certified by the competent medical officer.

Application Fee

The notification does not mention any application fee. So the application appears to be free of cost.

Do not pay money to any agent or middleman. If anyone demands money for this recruitment, treat it as fraud. For any doubt, contact the concerned Women and Child Development Project Officer’s office directly.

Salary

These are honorarium-based posts. This means a fixed monthly amount is paid by the government instead of a regular pay scale. The exact honorarium amount is not mentioned in this notice.

Anganwadi honorarium in Haryana is revised by the government from time to time. You can confirm the current amount from the WCDPO office when you apply.

Selection Process

There is no written exam and no interview test of that kind. Selection is purely through a merit list prepared for each village and ward.

The merit marks come from these parts:

  • Actual marks of your qualifying exam (12th for Worker, 10th for Helper)
  • Higher education marks – up to 5 extra marks
  • Experience marks – 1 mark per completed year as Anganwadi Worker, Centre Worker or Helper, up to 5 marks. Less than one year earns no marks. Only experience certificates issued by the WCDPO or DPO are valid.
  • Special preference – 10 marks for widows, divorced women and other notified special category women

The selection committee set by the department prepares the merit list village-wise and ward-wise. The candidate with the highest total in her village or ward gets the post.

Documents Required

  • 10th mark sheet (for Helper) or 12th mark sheet (for Worker)
  • Higher education certificates, if any
  • Residence certificate made with digital signature from the Tehsil (online verifiable)
  • Caste certificate with digital signature, if applicable
  • Experience certificate issued by WCDPO/DPO, if any
  • Proof of special category – widow/divorce/desertion documents, husband’s disability certificate, etc., if applicable

Pay special attention to the certificates. The department has clearly said that only digitally signed residence and caste certificates made online from the Tehsil will be accepted. Old handwritten certificates will not work because the department will verify them online.

Incomplete applications will be rejected straight away. So gather every document before you fill the form.

Important Dates

You get only ten days to apply. This is a short window, so do not delay. The last date closes sharply at 5:00 PM on 29 July 2026.

How to Apply

  1. First, check the vacancy list of your Gram Panchayat or Ward on the notice board of your WCDPO office or the District Programme Officer’s office, Rewari
  2. Get your digitally signed residence certificate (and caste certificate if needed) made from the Tehsil

Why You Should Apply

This is a government-recognised job in your own village. There is no travel to a far city. You serve the mothers and children of your own community.

The eligibility bar is low. Even 10th pass women can get the Helper post. There is no exam pressure. Your school marks and documents decide your selection.

With 454 posts in one district, this is one of the biggest Anganwadi recruitments in Rewari in recent years. Women who missed earlier chances should not miss this one.

Preparation Tips

Since there is no exam, your preparation is all about documents and merit:

  • Collect your original mark sheets and check the actual marks
  • Get the digitally signed residence certificate made early – Tehsil work can take time
  • If you have Anganwadi experience, get the certificate only from WCDPO/DPO
  • If you belong to a special category, keep the proof documents ready
  • Recheck the vacancy list of your village before applying
  • Fill the form carefully and completely

Merit lists are decided by small margins. Every extra mark from higher education or experience counts. Claim every mark you deserve with proper proof.
