Who Can Apply

• Must be a domicile of the UT of J&K.
• Women aged 18 to 37 years.
• Must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated. The name in the ward voter list is proof of residence. If the name appears in the voter list with the parents, an unmarried certificate from the Tehsildar is needed. In case of a dispute, a residence certificate from the SDM/ACR will be considered.
• If no 10+2 pass candidate is available in the ward, a candidate from the adjoining ward may be considered (with approval of the Mission Director, Mission POSHAN), and then from the nearest ward in the Panchayat.

Educational Qualification

Minimum 10+2 and maximum Graduation for Anganwadi Worker.

Age Limit

18 to 37 years. The application form asks for age as on 01.01.2026.
