Central University of Jammu Walk-in 2026: Laboratory Assistant and Office Assistant, Interview on 30 September

Central University of Jammu (CUJ), Rahya-Suchani (Bagla), District Samba, will hold a walk-in interview on 30 September 2026 (reporting 9:30 AM) for contractual posts of Laboratory Assistant in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Office Assistant in the Institute Innovation Cell (No. CUJ/Admin/EN-Temp/2026/613, dated 24.09.2026). The pay is Rs 25,000 per month for Laboratory Assistant and Rs 40,000 per month for Office Assistant. The maximum age is 35 years.

Who Can Apply

Candidates with the diploma, B.E./B.Tech or bachelor’s degree and experience listed below, up to 35 years of age, can attend. Reservation is as per Government of India norms.

Educational Qualification

• Laboratory Assistant (ECE): Diploma in Electronics & Communication with 3 years experience in laboratories, industry and institute, OR B.E./B.Tech in ECE. Desirable: experience of handling laboratories.
• Laboratory Assistant (ECE Avionics / Mechanics): Diploma in Electronics & Communication with 3 years experience in laboratories, industry and institute, OR B.E./B.Tech in ECE or ECE Avionics or Mechanical. Desirable: experience of handling laboratories.
• Office Assistant (IIC): (i) Bachelor’s degree from any recognized institute/University; (ii) 5 years working experience in an education institution, of which 2 years in an innovation and incubation cell in a University/Central/State Govt./PSU/Autonomous body; (iii) proficiency in computer operations.

Candidates with foreign degrees must bring an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Salary

Laboratory Assistant: Rs 25,000 per month. Office Assistant (IIC): Rs 40,000 per month. Both are consolidated.

Terms of Engagement

• Purely contractual for one year. No claim for absorption, extension or permanent job. An affidavit attested by a First Class Magistrate / Notary must be given at joining.
• The contract may be extended based on satisfactory performance.
• Only 4 casual leaves in six months.
• Duty can be assigned even during non-working hours or holidays if needed.
• The offer is valid for 10 days from the engagement order.
• A panel will be valid for one year to fill any later vacancy.
