Who Can Apply

Students who have passed the High School Certificate (HSC) Examination conducted by BSE Odisha, or any equivalent Class 10 examination recognized by the competent authority, are eligible to apply for admission into Class XI in Odisha Higher Secondary Schools.

Available Streams

Admission will be offered in Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational Education, and Upashastri streams, covering all Higher Secondary Schools affiliated to CHSE Odisha and Shree Jagannath Sanskrit University.

Application Fee

Students claiming reservation, weightage, or any relaxation must upload and later produce valid supporting documents.

How to Apply Online

1. Visit the official SAMS website: samsodisha.gov.in.
2. Click on “Higher Secondary School (+2) Admission 2026” and select “New Student Registration.”
3. Create a student login with your name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, and password. Note your User ID and Password safely.
4. Read the Common Prospectus available on the portal before filling the Common Application Form (CAF).
5. Fill in personal details (name exactly as in the matric certificate, parents’ names, gender, address, Aadhaar number) and academic details (board, roll number, passing year, marks/grade), avoiding spelling mistakes.
6. Select your preferred stream (Arts/Science/Commerce/Vocational/Upashastri) according to your interest and career goals.
7. Choose Higher Secondary Schools in order of preference – keep 2-3 top choices first, and add several nearby schools as backup; do not fill in only one school.
8. Claim reservation (SC/ST/SEBC-OBC/EWS/PwD/Sports/NCC/Ex-serviceman quota) only if you have valid supporting certificates, since wrong claims may lead to cancellation of admission during verification.
9. Review the entire form carefully – name spelling, marks, mobile number, stream, school preferences, category details, and uploaded documents.
10. Pay the application fee online, submit the CAF, and download/save the CAF printout and payment receipt for future reference.

What Happens After Form Submission

First Merit List

Published on 8 July 2026. Download the Intimation Letter from your student login and complete admission at the allotted school between 9 and 15 July 2026.

Slide-Up Option

Students satisfied with their admission can continue as allotted. Students wanting a higher-preference school may use the Slide-Up facility between 10 and 16 July 2026.

Second Merit List

Published on 23 July 2026, with admission from 24 to 28 July 2026.

Spot Admission

Remaining vacant seats will be filled through the Spot Admission process from 7 to 12 August 2026.

Document Verification

Students are not required to submit original documents during CAF submission. All original certificates and supporting documents will be verified only at the selected Higher Secondary School during admission – carry originals and photocopies of the HSC Mark Sheet, HSC Certificate, School Leaving Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Caste/Income/Disability Certificate (if applicable), CAF printout, payment receipt, and passport photos.
