• Eligible Indian nationals holding a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant discipline, and an M.E./M.Tech degree with a Ph.D. (or a Direct Ph.D. after B.Tech), in the corresponding engineering stream.
• For the Humanities, Social Sciences & Management (English) post: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English with a Ph.D.
• Candidates must have First Class at both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree level.
• These vacancies are specifically reserved for SC/ST/OBC category candidates as detailed in the table above.

Nature of Engagement and Remuneration

• The engagement is purely temporary, for a period of 11 months only.
• Fixed remuneration of Rs. 65,000/month will be paid for the assignment while on active duty.
• Selected candidates must enter into an agreement to serve the Institute on the terms and conditions set by NIT Srinagar.
• Selected candidates must join immediately and be physically present at the station of posting; no accommodation is available at NIT Srinagar, and candidates must arrange their own stay.
• This engagement does not confer any right to claim continuous employment or future permanency.
