Station HQ (ECHS), Ambala Cantt, has released an Employment Notice inviting applications from eligible Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and other candidates to engage Medical, Para-Medical & Non-Medical Staff on a contractual basis in ECHS Polyclinics under the Area of Responsibility (AOR) of Station HQ (ECHS), Ambala Cantt, for a period of 12/11 months, renewable for an additional 12/11 months (subject to age limit, performance, and other conditions).

Who Can Apply
Preference is given to Ex-Servicemen and Widows of service personnel (including War Widows) for reserved (ESM Only) vacancies. Open category vacancies are available to ESM and civilian applicants alike, subject to meeting the post-specific minimum qualification, age, and experience criteria detailed in the table above.
Other Eligibility Conditions
- Selected candidates for Medical Officer, Medical Specialist, Radiologist, Gynaecologist, and Dental Officer posts must undergo 10 days of On-the-Job Training (OJT) for handing/taking over and obtain a certificate from the OIC Polyclinic before the contract is signed. The OJT period remains unpaid and is mandatory before assuming charge on contract.
- If a candidate has left an empanelled hospital and there is a gap of less than one year before applying for the ECHS Polyclinic position, or if the applicant has any stake/conflict of interest with any empanelled hospital/facility, they will not be eligible.
- This is a full-time appointment; private practice is strictly prohibited while engaged with the ECHS establishment.
- A minimum of 12 months’ age headroom is needed for eligibility.

- Submit the completed physical application form to the OIC, Station HQ (ECHS), Ambala Cantt, so as to reach by 11 August 2026, 1:30 PM. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.
- Only candidates meeting the qualification requirements will be called telephonically for interview, tentatively starting 21 September 2026. Candidates must bring all original qualification documents/certificates to the interview. No TA/DA is admissible.
