Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, Northern Region, has released Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/NR/APPR/2026-27/1 for the engagement of Trade, Technician, and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, at its locations across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand. A total of approximately 433 apprentice openings are available across 14 discipline codes. Eligible candidates can apply online through the NAPS/NATS portal from 7 August 2026 (10:00 AM) to 6 September 2026 (5:00 PM).

Who Can Apply

Candidates meeting the discipline-specific educational qualification (see below), aged 18-24 years, and registered on the relevant NAPS/NATS portal may apply. Candidates can apply for only ONE discipline code; applying for more than one will lead to summary rejection of all applications.

Note: Qualification acquired through Part-time/Correspondence/Distance Learning mode is NOT eligible. Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications (B.E, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent) are NOT eligible.

Age Limit

Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as on 31 August 2026. Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST (up to 29 years), 3 years for OBC-NCL (up to 27 years), and up to 10 years for PwBD candidates (up to 15 years for SC/ST-PwBD and 13 years for OBC-NCL-PwBD).

Stipend

As per the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprentices Rules, 1992. In addition, apprentices will receive Rs.2,500/- per month towards miscellaneous expenses from IOCL (MD), NR. For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, a portion of the stipend is disbursed via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT). Trade Apprentices (NAPS) receive the full stipend directly from IOCL.

Selection Process

There is NO written test or interview. Selection is based on a merit list prepared from the percentage of marks secured in the prescribed qualification, among candidates registered on the NAPS/NATS portal and meeting eligibility criteria. In case of a tie, the candidate with an earlier date of birth is preferred; if still tied, higher matriculation percentage is considered. Preference is given to candidates applying for apprenticeship for the first time. Shortlisted candidates undergo document verification and a pre-engagement medical fitness test.

• Matriculation (Class X) mark sheet/certificate — the only acceptable document for age proof
• Caste certificate (for reserved category candidates, in prescribed Government format)
• OBC-NCL certificate (issued on or after 01.09.2025, not more than 12 months old)
• Certificate from institute confirming regular mode of study and year of passing
• Semester-wise/year-wise mark sheets of ITI (NCVT/SCVT)/HSC/Graduation/Diploma
• Final ITI Certificate/HSC/Graduation/Diploma certificate
• Copy of Bank passbook first page (Aadhaar-seeded account), Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, cancelled cheque leaf
• Pre-engagement medical fitness certificate

1. Register on the relevant portal based on your trade: Trade Apprentice (ITI) & Data Entry Operator on NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in); Technician Apprentice (Diploma) & Graduate Apprentice on NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in).
2. Ensure your NAPS/NATS profile (personal, educational, category details) is 100% complete and accurate.
3. Log in and apply for the IOCL (Marketing Division)-Northern Region opportunity using Establishment ID: NATS – NDLSDC000005 / NAPS – E05200700003.
4. After applying on NAPS/NATS, also submit your details along with preferred State and three preferred locations via the Microsoft Office Form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/pw7D2cUK7c, by 6 September 2026, 5:00 PM.
