About This Recruitment

Government ITI Karanjia periodically engages Part-Time Guest Instructors on a remuneration basis to meet its trade-wise teaching requirements for the training session, particularly in trades like Fitter, Electrician and Dress Making, where student intake and existing regular faculty strength may not always align. For ITI diploma/degree holders or NTC/NAC-certified tradespersons in Mayurbhanj district, this offers a session-based teaching opportunity with an hourly remuneration structure capped at Rs.20,000 per month, along with additional weightage for candidates holding CITS (Craft Instructor Training Scheme) or RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) qualifications. Since the engagement runs only for the current training session and does not carry regularization rights, candidates should treat this as a session-specific opportunity while gaining valuable classroom and workshop teaching experience at a Government ITI.

About Government ITI Karanjia

Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Karanjia is one of the state-run technical training institutes functioning under the Skill Development & Technical Education (SD&TE) Department, Government of Odisha, and is located in the Karanjia subdivision of Mayurbhanj district. Like other Government ITIs across Odisha, it offers structured trade-based courses under the Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS), leading to National Trade Certificates (NTC) recognized by the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. The institute imparts both theoretical and hands-on practical training across trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Dress Making and other allied disciplines, preparing students for employment in industry, self-employment, or further technical study. Guest Instructor engagements of the kind advertised here are a routine mechanism used by Government ITIs to bridge temporary faculty gaps for a given training session, ensuring that trade-wise batches continue to receive uninterrupted theory and practical instruction even while regular recruitment processes for permanent faculty positions proceed separately at the state level.

Why This Guest Instructor Engagement Matters

For technically qualified candidates from Mayurbhanj district and nearby areas, this recruitment offers a meaningful, if temporary, entry point into government technical teaching. Candidates holding a B.Voc/Degree in the relevant engineering or technical discipline, a three-year Diploma from a recognized institution, or an NTC/NAC certification in Fitter, Electrician or Dress Making trades can use this session-based assignment to gain classroom and workshop teaching experience at a Government ITI, which is often a valuable credential when applying for future permanent faculty recruitment under the SD&TE Department or similar technical education bodies. The engagement also rewards candidates who have gone a step further in their training career: those holding a CITS (Craft Instructor Training Scheme) certificate from institutes such as the National Skill Training Institute, or an RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) certification, receive additional weightage during the merit-based selection process, over and above the standard evaluation of written test, practical test, computer test and viva-voce performance.

Tips for Candidates Applying to This Recruitment

  • Ensure that self-attested copies of educational qualification certificates, age proof, experience certificates and CITS/RPL certificates (if held) are compiled and ready before the 17 August 2026 deadline, since applications must reach the institute by email or post only.
  • Since hand-delivery of applications is explicitly not accepted, candidates relying on postal submission should dispatch their applications well ahead of the last date to allow for transit time.
  • Candidates should keep their email address and phone number active and regularly checked, since admission letters for the interview and the exact walk-in interview schedule for 20 August 2026 will be communicated only through email or telephone, with no separate call letter issued by post.
  • Given that the merit list is prepared out of 100 marks with weightage for CITS/RPL and experience, candidates who have completed any such additional certification should ensure it is clearly documented in their application to receive due credit during evaluation.
