Consolidated Monthly Remuneration
Remuneration is fixed as per G.O. Rt. No. 1276, Finance (HRM-VII) Department, dated 16 July 2026, all-inclusive and subject to deduction of tax at source and other statutory deductions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Professor: Associate Professor in the subject for 3 years in a recognized medical institution; at least 2 research publications after becoming Associate Professor (among first three authors); completed Basic Course in Biomedical Research; MBBS with additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council.
- Associate Professor: Assistant Professor in the subject for 4 years (5 years if appointed directly as Assistant Professor in a Government medical institution); at least 2 research publications after becoming Assistant Professor (among first three authors); completed Basic Course in Biomedical Research; MBBS with additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council.
- Assistant Professor: 1 year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical institution (with equivalences for Tutors/Demonstrators with postgraduate qualifications, and alternate routes for non-teaching Consultants/diploma holders with specified years of experience); MBBS with additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council.
- Senior Resident: Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or M.Sc with PhD in the relevant medical subject; MBBS with additional qualification registered with Telangana State Medical Council. Upper age limit 45 years for broad specialties; 50 years for Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine.
- All eligibility follows the Teaching Eligibility Qualifications (TEQ) Regulations, 2025 of the National Medical Commission; DNB candidates are selected as per the latest NMC guidelines.
- Age Limit (other than Senior Resident): Below 69 years as on 31.07.2026.
- Selection is nationwide, with first preference to local candidates of Multi Zone I for Assistant Professor, Tutor and CAS posts; Professor and Associate Professor posts belong to the state cadre.

- The appointment is purely temporary, up to 31.03.2027 or till the vacancy is filled by promotion/regular appointment or the need ceases; this contract placement does not confer any right to future government appointment.
