Who Can Apply

Indian citizens with a 4-year full-time B.E./B.Tech (55% marks) from an AICTE/UGC-approved institute, a certified software course and at least 2 years of post-qualification industrial experience can apply.

Educational Qualification

• Design Engineer (Mechanical): B.E./B.Tech (4-year full time) in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering with minimum 55% marks. Certified course in CAD/CAE software from a Govt-accredited institution or authorised OEM training centre (if CAD/CAE was part of the degree, A+ or equivalent grade needed). Desirable: PG in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering.
• Design Engineer (Electrical/Electronics): B.E./B.Tech (4-year full time) in Electrical / EEE / ECE / Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control with minimum 55% marks. Certified course in MATLAB/Simulink, Electrical CAD/EDA, Circuit Design or Electrical System Simulation from a Govt-accredited institution or authorised OEM centre (or A+ grade if part of the degree). Desirable: PG in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation.

Experience Required (minimum 2 years)

• Mechanical: In-depth knowledge of Siemens NX (CAD) and Simcenter 3D/Ansys or similar (CAE) – MBD simulation, explicit analysis, FEA, vibration and thermal analysis; MS Office and MS Project; reading 2D drawings and 3D models; manufacturing processes, engineering materials and standards.
• Electrical/Electronics: In-depth knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and any of ANSYS Electronics, LTspice, PSpice, LabVIEW, Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, KiCad, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSCAD or equivalent; MS Project; schematics, wiring, PCB layouts; PCB fabrication, harness, panel assembly; embedded systems, FPGA, IoT, power electronics, BMS and military standards.

Only full-time regular-salary experience after the degree counts. Freelance, entrepreneurial, internship, teaching and research experience do not count. MT/ET/GT training in PSUs and apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act do count.

Job Description

• Mechanical: Layouts, 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings in Siemens NX; analysis in Simcenter 3D/Ansys; technical documents, manuals and BOMs; PLM records; jigs, fixtures, tools and gauges; 2D-3D conversion; tracking on MS Project.
• Electrical/Electronics: Design and validation of electrical/electronic systems; wiring diagrams, schematics, PCB and harness drawings; MATLAB/Simulink models; documentation (ICDs, EBOM, test reports); panels, power distribution, test jigs and ATE; tracking on MS Project.

Salary

Rs 50,000 per month, consolidated and inclusive of all, for all years of the contract. Working hours are typically 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Selection Process

• Eligibility screening.
• Shortlisting (1:5 ratio) on 100 marks: B.E./B.Tech marks – 50 (percentage / 100 x 50); relevant experience – 40 (20 marks for 2 years + 2.5 marks for every extra 6 months, max 40); M.E./M.Tech – 10.
• Interview and Practical Assessment (100 marks): Personal Interview 50 + Practical Assessment on CAD/CAE/Modelling/Simulation tools 50. Minimum 50% needed in each.
• Final merit on interview + practical marks. Ties go to more experience, then higher degree marks.
