Who Can Apply
Indian nationals with the MD degree above, recognised by the National Medical Commission, can apply. Selected candidates must register with the Maharashtra Medical Council. Result-awaited candidates may apply but must show proof of passing on the day of the MCQ/viva.
Educational Qualification
- MD (Immuno-Haematology and Blood Transfusion / Transfusion Medicine) or equivalent PG degree.
- All UG/PG/Super Speciality degrees must be recognised by the National Medical Commission.
Age Limit
40 years. Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Physically Handicapped. Age and experience are counted as on 08.10.2026.

Other Terms
- Security/Caution Deposit: Rs 1,33,623 – paid at joining or cut in 5 equal instalments from salary; refunded without interest after completing the SR-ship.
- Residents may resign after 5 months of service with one month’s notice (total 6 months) and still get the deposit back. Leaving without notice means the last month’s salary (30 days) is forfeited.
- SR-ship at TMC-ACTREC counts as part of the PG Bond for those who completed MCh/DM/DNB/MS/MD from Government and Municipal Medical Colleges in Maharashtra (GR dated 07.06.2013).
- Posting by rotation at ACTREC, TMH Mumbai or non-Mumbai centres (Sangrur, Mullanpur, Punjab, Varanasi, Visakhapatnam, Muzaffarpur, Guwahati).
- Shared accommodation may be given if available; hostel charges are deducted monthly.

- MCQ exam only if applicants are more than three times the posts.
- Interview/Viva – in person or online (candidates can request a link).
- The shortlist will be put on actrec.gov.in (examination/interview section).
