Educational Qualification

• Senior Expert: M.Sc/M.Tech/B.Tech in the relevant subject (Geology, Geophysics, Chemistry or Hydrogeology, or related fields), with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Middle Level Expert: Same educational qualification as above, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Expert: Same educational qualification, with a minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Middle Level Expert (Liaison): A graduate degree in any discipline, along with retired government service experience as explained above.

A few special rules apply here. A Ph.D can be counted as experience, but only up to a maximum of 3 years. Internship or apprenticeship periods are not counted as experience. If you are self-employed, your work can count as experience only if you have proper documents like GST registration, UDYAM/MSME registration, income tax returns and bank statements to prove it.

Age Limit

The normal maximum age limit for all Expert posts is 60 years. In rare and exceptional cases, engagement can be considered up to 70 years, but this needs special approval from the Chairman and Managing Director based on health and expertise.

Candidates above 69 years of age can still apply, but their contract will only run for the remaining period until they turn 70. If you are 60 or above, you will need to submit a medical fitness certificate at the time of the interview.
