Who Can Apply
Law graduates who are serving government, PSU or statutory-body officers holding an analogous post, or with the required regular service in the specified pay levels, can apply on deputation.
Educational Qualification
- Executive Director (Law): Law degree from a recognised university; and an analogous post on a regular basis, OR 2 years’ regular service at Level-13A (GP Rs 8,900), OR 3 years at Level-13 (GP Rs 8,700). Desirable: senior-level legal experience in Govt/PSU (administrative, commercial, contract law) and drafting statutes/legislation.
- Joint Director (Law): Law degree; and an analogous post, OR 2 years at Level-12 (GP Rs 7,600), OR 5 years at Level-11 (GP Rs 6,600). Desirable: regulatory law, knowledge of the power sector, contract/administrative law, litigation.
- Deputy Director (Law): Law degree; and an analogous post, OR 3 years at Level-10 (GP Rs 5,400), OR 5 years at Level-8 (GP Rs 4,800), OR 8 years at Level-6 (GP Rs 4,200). Desirable: middle-level legal experience in Govt/PSU and drafting statutes/legislation.
Age Limit
The maximum age for deputationists is 56 years, counted as on the last date of application (26.10.2026), subject to Central Govt/GNCTD guidelines.

Selection Process
