Who Can Apply

Civil or Electrical engineers with a first-class B.E./B.Tech., or a first-class diploma with an excellent academic record, can apply. Experience in site supervision, estimates and tendering is desirable.

Educational Qualification

• Assistant Engineer (Civil): First Class B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering, OR First Class Diploma in Civil Engineering with an excellent academic record. Desirable: 2 years in monitoring/supervising civil works, estimates, bills, measurement books and tendering; working knowledge of civil maintenance and CAD.
• Assistant Engineer (Electrical): First Class B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, OR First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering with an excellent academic record. Desirable: 2 years in monitoring/supervising electrical works, estimates, bills and tendering; working knowledge of electrical maintenance and CAD.

Age Limit

Preferably below 35 years. Age, qualification and experience are all counted as on the closing date, 26 October 2026.

Salary

No medical facility, accommodation or other allowances are given. The job is six days a week, with 8 days’ casual leave in 11 months.

Job Description

• Civil: Monitor civil construction and maintenance works, supervise sites, and handle planning, design, estimates and tenders, including bid documents on GeM/CPPP.
• Electrical: Supervise the central AC plant, handle GeM procurement, AMCs, lift licence renewals, record keeping, and preventive and breakdown maintenance of utility systems.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting by the Institute.
• Personal interview at SVNIT Surat. Final selection is based on interview performance.
• Engagement is subject to medical fitness and police verification.
