Category-wise Vacancy

PwBD: 3 posts (Blindness & low vision – 1, Deaf & hard of hearing – 1, Locomotor disability – 1). Ex-Servicemen: 2 posts. Ex-Servicemen must upload their ESM Identity Card from the Zila Sainik Welfare Office, Assam and their Discharge Book.

Educational Qualification

1. Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university in any subject, having studied at least one paper of Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Social Science / Sociology / Psychology at graduate level, OR a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with 50% marks in Mathematics at 12th standard.
2. Knowledge of English and one local language (Assamese, Bengali or Bodo) – both must have been subjects in HSLC.
3. Computer knowledge with comfort in keying data on handheld devices, and a computer course certificate of at least 6 months from a Govt. recognised institute.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years. Upper age relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC/MOBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years, Ex-Servicemen – 2 years. Age is taken only from the HSLC/Class X pass certificate or admit card.

Salary

Pay Band-2 of Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000 plus Grade Pay of Rs 5,600, and other allowances as admissible.

Other Requirements

• Caste certificate from the Govt. of Assam competent authority for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC.
• PwBD candidates need at least 40% benchmark disability and will face a medical board after selection.
• Govt. employees must give an NOC when asked.
• A declaration on the Small Family Norms (Form-A) when asked.
• Those who want benefit under the Assam Public Services (Preferential Appointment) Rules, 1999 must mention it in the portal.

Selection Process
