Bank of Baroda, Bengaluru Zone, has invited applications for 14 Guest Players on Retainership Basis for its Bengaluru sports teams in Cricket (8), Basketball (3) and Kabaddi (3). Selected players get Rs 25,000 per month for 12 months. Apply by e-mail by 07 October 2026.

Eligibility

• Age: 18 to 30 years as on the date of the advertisement.
• Education: Minimum 10th pass from a recognised board.
• Nationality: Indian citizens only.

Sports qualification (any one) – local club-level players who have:

1. Represented a State/UT or the country in national/international competition; or won a medal in Junior National Championships, Khelo India Youth Games (above 18 category), Khelo India Winter Games, Khelo India University Games or SGFI in the same sport; OR
2. Represented their University in Inter-University tournaments conducted by Inter-University Sports Boards; OR
3. Represented the State/UT school team in National Sports/Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation.

Selection Process (100 Marks)

Minimum qualifying marks: 50 out of 100. Merit list in descending order. In a tie, international representation gets first preference, then national medal winners, university, Khelo India, school games, and finally the younger candidate. Field trials will be held in Bengaluru at your own cost.

Terms of Engagement

• 12-month retainership, purely temporary and contractual.
• Rs 25,000 per month plus any benefits under the Bank’s Sports Policy.
• No employer-employee relationship and no right to a regular job in the Bank.
• Players must represent Bank of Baroda in tournaments when called and stay physically fit.

How to Apply

1. Fill and sign the application form (Annexure A, attached in the notice PDF).
2. Scan your photo, date of birth proof, 10th certificate, photo ID, sports certificates and a brief sports bio-data.
3. E-mail everything to MKTG.KARAP@bankofbaroda.bank.in with the subject: “APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT AS GUEST PLAYER ON RETAINERSHIP BASIS – BENGALURU [CRICKET / BASKETBALL / KABADDI] TEAM”.
4. Send it on or before 07.10.2026. Other modes are not accepted.

Sports certificates must be issued by the proper authority – e.g. National Federation Secretary for international events, State Association or National Federation Secretary for national events, Dean of Sports for inter-university, and SAI officer for Khelo India games.
