  • Selection is based purely on a merit list, using the average of the percentage marks in Matriculation (minimum 50%) and the ITI examination, with equal weightage to both.
  • If two candidates have equal marks, preference goes to the older candidate; if birth dates also match, whoever passed Matriculation earlier gets priority.
  • The trade-wise and community-wise merit list is prepared separately by each Division/Unit for their notified slots.
  • Shortlisted candidates must clear Document Verification and submit a Medical Fitness Certificate signed by a government-authorized doctor.

Required Documents

  • 10th (SSC) marksheet and proof of date of birth
  • Consolidated ITI marksheet for all semesters, and National Trade Certificate (or Provisional Certificate) issued by NCVT
  • Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC applicants (OBC needs a valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate for 2025-26)
  • Disability certificate for PwBD applicants
  • Discharge or Serving Certificate for Ex-Servicemen quota applicants
  • Income and Asset Certificate for EWS applicants
  • Recent colour photograph (3.5cm x 3.5cm) and signature
