• A four-year integrated degree course in the concerned subject from an NCTE-recognized institution, with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC), OR
• A Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Science in the concerned subject with 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC), along with a B.Ed or 3-year integrated B.A. B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized and university-affiliated institution

Subject-wise TGT Requirements

• TGT English: English as Honours/Pass/Elective/Major/Special subject at graduation level
• TGT Odia: Odia as Honours/Pass/Elective/Major/Special subject at graduation level
• TGT Social Studies: A B.A. subject from History, Geography, Political Science or Economics, plus one more subject from a listed group including Indian Polity, Indian Economy and Indian Geography
• TGT Math: Bachelor’s in Science with at least 200 marks in Math, plus two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Application, Statistics or Electronics (B.Tech/B.E. with the same combination is also accepted)
• TGT Science: Bachelor’s in Science with any three subjects from Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Bio-Technology and Life Science
• TGT Hindi: Bachelor’s in Arts with Hindi as Honours, along with a recognized Hindi teacher training certificate (BH.Ed) or equivalent

PGT Qualification

• Post Graduate degree in the concerned subject with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC), along with a B.Ed from an NCTE-recognized, university-affiliated institution
• For PGT Computer Science, 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) in the concerned subject

Age Limit

Candidates should not be more than 65 years old.

Salary

TGT teachers get a monthly remuneration of Rs. 20,000, and PGT teachers get Rs. 25,000. No TA/DA is paid for the application or document verification process.
