Why This Recruitment Matters

Process-Server and Peon posts form the backbone of day-to-day court administration at the district and taluk level. A Process-Server is responsible for the physical delivery of court summons, notices and warrants to litigants and witnesses, a function that is central to ensuring due process is followed in every case filed before the subordinate courts of Uttara Kannada district. Peons, meanwhile, support the general administrative functioning of court offices, judges’ chambers and record rooms. Both roles are entry-level Group-D and Group-C government positions that do not require a specialised degree beyond SSLC, making this recruitment an accessible entry point into Karnataka’s judicial administrative service for candidates who meet the basic educational qualification and age criteria.

Because these are permanent, pensionable Karnataka State Government posts governed by the Karnataka Subordinate Courts (Clerical and Other Posts) Recruitment Rules, successful candidates gain the long-term job security, defined pay-scale progression and service benefits associated with State Government employment, along with a defined 2-year probation period before confirmation. Candidates from Uttara Kannada district and neighbouring areas of coastal and Malnad Karnataka who meet the SSLC qualification are encouraged to apply well before the 16 September 2026 deadline, keeping in mind that only the last online application submitted will be considered valid if multiple applications are filed by the same candidate.
