Eligibility Criteria

Full Time Specialist (FTS) / Part Time Specialist (PTS)

Qualification: PG Degree/Diploma in the concerned speciality from a recognized University, registered with the Medical Council.
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience after acquiring a PG Degree, OR minimum 5 years’ experience in the concerned speciality after acquiring a Diploma.
Age: Up to 69 years.

Senior Resident (SR) / SR against GDMO

Qualification: PG Degree or PG Diploma in the concerned speciality, registered with the Medical Council. In the absence of PG-qualified doctors, MBBS graduates with at least 2 years’ working experience in the concerned speciality will be considered, though preference is given to PG-qualified candidates.
Age: Not to exceed 45 years as on the date of interview, with relaxation for reserved categories as per rules.

Remuneration & Tenure

Duty Timing (FTS): 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays, with emergency visits as required. Duty Timing (PTS): Minimum 16 hours per week (4 hours x 4 days), as directed by the Medical Superintendent. Duty Timing (SR): 48 hours per week on rotational duty with round-the-clock availability for emergencies.

Full Time Specialists are entitled to leave at 4 days per month of work (prorated, not exceeding 15 days at a stretch, non-encashable). Senior Residents are entitled to leave at 2.5 days per completed month of work (prorated, non-encashable). Part Time Specialists are not entitled to any leave or service benefits.

3. Report to the office of the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital, Near 500 Quarters, GIDC, Ankleshwar, Gujarat – 393002, on 13 August 2026 (or subsequent 2nd/4th Thursday if vacancies remain) between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM for registration.
4. Carry the duly filled application form along with original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or document verification.

Important Instructions

• Candidates must be registered with the Gujarat Medical Council (GMC), Medical Council of India (MCI), or any other State Medical Council before joining; if GMC registration is not held at joining, it must be obtained within one month of appointment.
• Selected candidates will have no claim or right to regularization of service or preference for regular appointment.
• Selected candidates must join within 7 days from the date of receipt of the selection order.
• No claim for service benefits such as PF, Pension, Gratuity, medical allowance, seniority or promotion will be admissible.
• Private practice is not allowed for Full Time Specialists and Senior Residents.
• Selected Full Time Specialists and Part Time Specialists must hold a professional indemnity policy covering the engagement period, with minimum sum assured of Rs.30 lakhs for Anaesthesiologists/Cardiac/Neuro/Plastic Surgeons, Rs.20 lakhs for General Surgeons/Gynaecologists/Obstetricians, and Rs.10 lakhs for Physicians/Dentists/Radiologists/Pathologists.
• Upon selection, the candidate must sign an agreement on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.300/- and submit a security deposit of Rs.30,000/- (refundable after contract completion), payable to ‘ESI Fund Account No.1’, SBI, Kosamadi, Ankleshwar Branch.
• Hostel accommodation, quarters, or uniform will not be provided.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification. No TA/DA is admissible for the walk-in interview or for joining the post.
