UPSSSC Youth Welfare Officer Recruitment 2026 – Overview

The notice itself lists Regional Youth Welfare Officer as 368 and Exercise Instructor as 44. The number of posts may change as per Government orders.

Eligibility

• ✓Regional Youth Welfare & PRD Officer: Graduate degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification. Preferred: B.P.Ed/D.P.Ed; 3 years service as Block Commander or Halka Sardar/Dal Pati in the organisation; 2 years Provincial Army service; or NCC ‘B’ certificate.
• ✓Exercise Instructor: Graduate degree plus D.P.Ed/B.P.Ed or equivalent (as per the UP higher education order, B.P.Ed/B.Sc.Ed equals the D.P.Ed/B.P.Ed requirement). Preferred: M.P.Ed or a Diploma in coaching from NSNIS Patiala, Bangalore, Kolkata, LNIPE Trivandrum/Gwalior; 2 years Army service; or NCC ‘B’ certificate.

Age Limit

Minimum 21 years and maximum 40 years as on 1 July of the year in which vacancies are advertised. Relaxation for SC/ST and other notified categories as per Government rules; UP state employees get 5 years relaxation.

Physical Standard Test (Minimum Measurements)

Physical Eligibility Test

• ✓Regional Youth Welfare & PRD Officer (men): 200 m run, long jump, high jump and shot put – need at least 10 marks in each of the four items and at least 45 marks overall.
• ✓Regional Youth Welfare & PRD Officer (women): 200 m run, long jump, cricket ball throw and skipping – need 10 marks in each and 45 overall.
• ✓Exercise Instructor (men): Indian exercise (Mallakhamb, Asana, Mudgar – 50 marks overall) and gymnastics (5 items, 75 marks overall).
• ✓Exercise Instructor (women): Indian exercise (40 marks overall) and gymnastics (65 marks overall).

The measurements and physical tests are only for eligibility. Selection is based on the written exam.

Selection and Exam Pattern

• ✓Mains written exam based on the PET-2025 normalised score; PET scorecard holders only.
• ✓One paper, 100 MCQs, 2 hours, 1 mark each, 1/4 negative marking.
• ✓Merit is made on written exam marks, then candidates are called for the measurement and physical eligibility test.

Application Fee

Only the Rs 25 online processing fee is charged to every category. Exam fee for the Mains is paid separately by shortlisted candidates before downloading the admit card.

How to Apply

1. 1Go to upsssc.gov.in and open Advertisement No. 23-Exam/2026.
2. 2Log in with your PET-2025 registration number and the OTP.
3. 3Select the posts, check details and pay the fee online.
4. 4Download and print the form. Corrections are allowed only till 13-11-2026.
