Who Can Apply

1. Manager (System) – Industrial Development Department

• Essential: Degree in Computer Application.
• Preferential: Served in Territorial Army for minimum 2 years, or obtained NCC ‘B’ Certificate.

2. Senior Programmer – Industrial Development Department

• Essential: Degree with Diploma in Computer Application.
• Preferential: Territorial Army service (2 years) or NCC ‘B’ Certificate.

3. Programmer Grade-2 – Directorate of Financial Planning & Resources

• Bachelor’s degree from a University established by law in India, or an equivalent recognized qualification.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized Institute/University, or ‘A’ Level Certificate from DOEACC (Government of India).
• Good knowledge of software development (C/C++, Fox Pro, RDBMS like Oracle/Ingress/Sybase, DB/2, etc.) in DOS/Unix/Windows environments.
• Exposure to Networking Operating Systems and complete knowledge of Office Automation Packages and Internet.

4. Computer Operator Grade-B – UPPSC

• Bachelor’s degree with Diploma in Computer Science, or Bachelor’s degree with ‘O’ Certificate from DOEACC.
• Knowledge of Data Entry in Hindi and English on various software (MS Office/Lotus/Smart Suite, etc.) in DOS/Unix/Windows.
• Knowledge of networking exposure on Novell and Windows NT.
• Typing speed: 25 words per minute in Hindi and 40 words per minute in English.

Age Limit

• Candidates must be at least 21 years and must not have crossed 40 years, as on 1 July 2026 (i.e., born between 2 July 1986 and 1 July 2005).
• For PH (Physically Handicapped) candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Skilled Players/UP State Government Employees (including Basic Shiksha Parishad & Aided Madhyamik Vidyalaya staff) of Uttar Pradesh; 15 years for physically handicapped persons of UP; 3 years plus Army service period for Emergency/Short Service Commissioned Officers/Ex-Army Personnel of UP.
• Reservation and age relaxation benefits are available only to candidates who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh.

Exam Pattern

Manager (System)/Senior Programmer/Programmer Grade-2

One objective-type paper of 2 hours’ duration, with 2 marks for each correct answer.

Computer Operator Grade-B

Written paper of 2 hours (objective type). Hindi and English typing tests of 10 minutes each. Result is based on the combined marks of the written test (170) and typing test (55), totaling 225.

Negative Marking: One-third (0.33) of the marks for each wrong answer is deducted. Multiple answers to a question are treated as wrong. No penalty for unattempted questions.

Minimum Efficiency Standard: 35% for SC/ST candidates, 40% for candidates of other categories, to be placed in the merit/select list.
