The Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab (PSSSB), Mohali, has released Advertisement No. 13 of 2026 for 10 Group-B posts: Head Draftsman, Law Officer, Legal Assistant and Accountant, in different Punjab Government departments. Educational Qualification
Punjabi is compulsory: As per Rule 17 of the Punjab Civil Services Rules, 1994, you must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject (or an equivalent Punjabi exam). You must hold all qualifications by the last date of application.
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- Minimum 18 years for all categories
- General: maximum 37 years
- SC of Punjab: maximum 42 years
- Punjab and Central Govt. employees: maximum 45 years (NOC from department needed at counselling)
- Widows, divorcees and certain other married women: up to 40 years

Fee once paid will not be refunded in any case.
Selection Process
- Objective type (MCQ) written exam.
- Merit list will be based on written exam marks.
- Negative marking: each question carries 1 mark and 1/4 mark is cut for a wrong answer.
- In a tie, the older candidate ranks higher; then higher percentage in the required qualification; then higher marks in Matric.
- Original certificates must be shown at counselling.
