- W = reserved for women. If suitable women candidates are not available, the post will be filled by male candidates of the same category, so men can also apply for posts marked (W).
- One ADR post under the UR category is reserved for a Sports person.
- PwD candidates with permanent disability of at least 40% can apply for posts suitable to them.
- The reservation break-up may change as per Government orders. The number of posts may increase or decrease at the time of interview.
Who Can Apply
Candidates with the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. qualifications in the concerned subject and at least 10 years of teaching/research/extension experience (with 2 years as Associate Professor or equivalent) can apply. The notice does not give an age limit; the retirement age is 60 years.
Educational Qualification and Experience
- Professor (Agricultural Science, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agril. Engg. & Technology, Basic Science & Humanities, Community Science):
- Minimum 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Veterinary / Forestry / Agril. Engineering / Basic Science / Community Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
- Minimum 2nd Class Master’s Degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent OGPA (for example, M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy for Professor in Agronomy).
- Ph.D. in the concerned subject.
- At least 10 years of experience (excluding Ph.D. study period) in teaching/research/extension not below Assistant Professor or equivalent, of which 2 years as Associate Professor or equivalent in 7th CPC Level 13A (PB-4 Rs 37,400-67,000, AGP 9000 pre-revised) in a Govt. University / reputed accredited University.
- Professor (Fishery Science): Minimum 2nd Class Bachelor’s in Fishery Science (55%); 2nd Class Master’s in the concerned or related degree (55%); Ph.D. in the concerned subject; and the same 10 years experience condition. Related Master’s degrees:

- 5% relaxation in marks at Bachelor’s and Master’s level for SC/ST/PwD.
Age Limit
The notice does not mention a minimum or maximum age for applying. The retirement age for the post is 60 years.

Salary
Cell-1, Level-14 – Rs 1,44,200 per month, with usual DA and other allowances as admissible.
Selection Process
A detailed API Score Card (teaching, research guidance, projects, trials, extension programmes, NAAS-rated publications, books, technologies etc.) is given in the notice. Applicants must submit a typed score card with columns for self-assessed score, reference page number and score by the Screening Committee. Interview and document verification will be at Bhubaneswar at the candidate’s own cost.
