Why This Role Matters

Munitions India Limited is one of India’s newest Defence PSUs, formed in 2021 to consolidate ammunition and explosives manufacturing that was earlier spread across the Ordnance Factory Board. Setting up a dedicated coordination cell at IIT Madras signals a push to formalize research partnerships between Defence production units and top academic institutions – a role suited for someone who has already spent a career navigating both worlds.
