Ministry of Culture Internship 2026: 20 Interns for India Art, Architecture and Design Biennale, Rs 20,000

The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has invited applications for 20 Interns under the Ministry of Culture Internship Programme, for the India Art, Architecture and Design Biennale (IAADB) 2026. IAADB is a flagship international cultural event to be held at Purana Qila and other venues in Delhi. Graduates can apply by e-mail to iaadb@gov.in. Purpose of the Internship

Interns get practical exposure to museum practice, curatorial research, exhibition management, visitor engagement and cultural administration. The work includes research, exhibition planning, documentation, content support, public programming, visitor facilitation and programme coordination during the preparation and conduct of IAADB 2026-27.

Eligibility

• Essential: Graduate.
• Desirable: Experience of working with government institutions, museums, cultural organisations or international cultural events.
• JS (Museums) can relax the eligibility conditions for any deserving candidate.

• Exhibition coordination
• Installation and de-installation assistance
• Visitor facilitation and public programming
• Documentation
• Stakeholder coordination and other operational needs across Biennale venues, under the IAADB Curatorial team / Ministry officers

Remuneration and Leave

Remuneration is Rs 20,000. The notice does not say whether this is per month or in total. No leave is allowed except on medical grounds, for up to 3 days with prior approval. If this is not followed, the internship will not be extended and no experience certificate will be given. Attendance is kept by the Curatorial Team member/officer.
