Eligibility: Qualification and Age Limit

Research Associate (age up to 35 years)

• Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS, Geo-informatics, Geology, Forestry, Geophysics, Agriculture, Civil or Environmental Science, or related fields.
• Or 3 years of research or teaching after a first class M.Sc., M.E. or M.Tech. in these fields.
• One research paper in an SCI journal.
• Desirable: image processing, GIS, DGPS, drone surveys and a DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate.

Junior Project Assistant (age up to 28 years)

• M.Sc. or M.Tech. with first class in Remote Sensing and GIS, Geo-informatics, Geology or a related field.
• Desirable: work experience in image processing and GIS software.

Age relaxation

• Age is counted on 1 October 2026.
• SC and ST get 5 years. OBC (BC-I, BC-II) get 3 years.

Salary Details

Selection Process

1. Applications are screened on the minimum qualification.
2. A written test may be held for shortlisting.
3. Screened candidates are called for the interview.
4. The final list is made on interview merit.

• Printout of the online form.
• Marksheets from SSC to Ph.D., as applicable.
• Experience certificate, if needed.
• Matriculation certificate as age proof.
• Caste and recent residential certificates.
• Proof of online fee payment with UTR number.

1. Pay the fee to the JSAC account given in the notice and note the UTR.
2. Register online at jsac.jharkhand.gov.in from 21 October 2026, 3:00 PM.
3. Finish the online form by 9:00 PM on 18 November 2026.
4. Send the printout and documents by speed post to the Director, JSAC, Dhurwa, Ranchi-834004.
5. It must reach by 5:00 PM on 25 November 2026.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Posts are contract based on the project.
• No DA, PF, pension, gratuity or increment is given.
• A separate form and fee are needed for each post.
• No TA or DA is paid for the test or interview.
• Serving candidates need an NOC.
• The fee is not refunded.
