About This Recruitment
This large, 37-post Senior Resident recruitment drive across 15 super-speciality departments reflects the substantial clinical scale and diagnostic sophistication of Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital, a major tertiary care institute under the Government of NCT of Delhi. Ad-hoc Senior Resident positions such as these are a standard feature of India’s public tertiary hospital system, allowing hospitals to maintain adequate specialist coverage across departments like Cardiology, Neuro-Surgery, Oncology and Nephrology while regular recruitment cycles for permanent posts proceed separately. Since eligibility, tenure and pay structures follow the National Medical Commission’s Senior Residency scheme guidelines uniformly, candidates who have completed their DM/MCh/MD/MS or equivalent super-speciality/basic-speciality qualifications, and hold a valid DMC registration, have a well-defined, time-bound pathway to gain hospital experience at a well-equipped Delhi institute, even though the appointment itself remains ad-hoc and capped at a maximum tenure of 3+1 years under the scheme.
Tips for Candidates Applying to This Recruitment
- Since applications must physically reach the Director’s office before 2:00 PM on 17 August 2026, candidates should account for Delhi traffic and office timings when planning their submission, particularly if submitting on the final day.
- Candidates should double-check that their caste/EWS/disability certificates are issued by the competent authority specified in the notice, since verification failures for OBC/SC/ST/EWS claims can lead to termination of services even after appointment, as explicitly warned in the terms and conditions.
- Candidates currently employed should arrange their No Objection Certificate, Work & Conduct Certificate and Vigilance Clearance Certificate well in advance, as all three are required to be produced at the time of interview.
- Given the large number of departments and posts on offer, candidates should clearly and legibly indicate their chosen department/discipline on both the application envelope and the first page of the application form, to avoid any processing confusion given the scale of this recruitment drive.
