Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC), South Central Zone, has released Notification No. 2023/IRCTC/HRD/SCZ/Rectt.-I/Tourism Monitors dated 16.09.2026, inviting eligible and qualified candidates for walk-in interview for engagement as ‘Tourism Monitors’ on Contract basis for a period of 3 years. Eligibility and Remuneration by Qualification Track

Age Limit and Reservation

• Upper Age Limit: 35 years for UR, as on 01.09.2026.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD applicants, as per Government guidelines; for Ex-Servicemen, relaxation is up to the extent of service rendered in defence plus 3 years.
• Reservation: As per Govt. of India policy — SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC-NCL 27%, PwBD 4%, EWS 10%, Ex-Servicemen 10%.

Remuneration and Allowances

• CTC: Rs 30,000 – Rs 35,000 per month (incl. statutory deductions), based on qualification/experience.
• Daily Allowance: Rs 350 per day for on-duty on-board in trains (100% for more than 12 hours, 70% for 6-12 hours, 30% for less than 6 hours).
• Lodging Charges: Rs 240 only, if night stay is involved at an outstation.
• National Holiday Allowance (NHA): Rs 384 per National Holiday, if worked.
• Medical Insurance: Rs 800 per month, reimbursable on submission of valid documents.

Scope of Work

• Manning the ‘Bharat Gaurav Rakes’ and supporting all other Tourism-related activities.
• Marketing and back-end support of various tour packages; handling air/rail ticketing of corporate travel and walk-in clients.
• Resolving customer/passenger care related issues and effective complaint management.
• Collecting feedback, its analysis, and course correction.
• Supervising, training, and educating staff in efficient services; coordinating with Railways, other offices, and business partners.

• Selected candidates must furnish a security deposit of Rs 25,000 in the form of a Demand Draft.
