Who Can Apply

Candidates with the qualification and experience prescribed under DGT norms for the trade, and proficiency in teaching and/or relevant industrial work, can attend the walk-in. The engagement runs for the 2026-27 training session, which began in September 2026, until the AITT examinations and career counselling campaigns in July 2027.

Educational Qualification

• GI (Dress Making): B.Voc/Degree in Fashion & Apparel Technology (UGC-recognized) with 1 year’s experience; OR a Diploma (minimum 2 years) in Dress Making/Garment Fabricating Technology/Costume Designing or a relevant DGT Advanced Diploma (Vocational) with 2 years’ experience; OR NTC/NAC in Dress Making with 3 years’ experience.
• GI (Fitter): B.Voc/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (AICTE/UGC) with 1 year’s teaching/industry experience; OR a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years’ experience; OR NTC/NAC in Fitter trade with 3 years’ experience in the mechanical field.
• GI (Sewing Technology): B.Voc/Degree in Fashion & Apparel Technology with 1 year’s experience; OR a Diploma (minimum 2 years) in Garment Fabrication Technology/Costume Design & Dress Making or a relevant DGT Advanced Diploma with 2 years’ experience; OR NTC/NAC in Sewing Technology (earlier “Cutting & Sewing”) with 3 years’ experience.
• GI (TWPT): B.Voc/Degree in Textile Technology/Textile Chemistry with 1 year’s experience; OR a 3-year Diploma in Textile Technology/Textile Processing or a relevant DGT Advanced Diploma with 2 years’ experience; OR NTC/NAC in Textile Wet Processing Technician with 3 years’ experience.
