Who Can Apply

• Teaching Faculty: Retired/working Professors may also apply for eligible posts. Age limit not exceeding 69 years as on date of interview.
• Senior Resident: Age limit not exceeding 45 years as on date of interview.
• Education & Experience: As per the latest NMC (National Medical Commission) norms for all advertised posts.
• Tutor: Only candidates with MD in the concerned subject are eligible.
• SR in Super-speciality Department: Candidates with MD/MS in a broad specialty will be considered.
• SR in Emergency Medicine: Candidates with MD/MS in Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, or Anaesthesia, or with 2 years post-MBBS experience (including 1 year in emergency medicine), are eligible.
• Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine: Candidates with MD/MS in Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, or Anaesthesia with relevant experience.
• In case no suitable MD/MS candidate is available, MBBS with 2 years of relevant experience will be considered for Senior Resident.
• Candidates eligible for a higher post (Professor/Associate Professor) may be interviewed against a lower post (Associate Professor/Assistant Professor).

Pay and Allowances

Note: For Senior Residents holding only a diploma, Rs. 1,350 will be deducted; if the SR does not possess a Degree/Diploma, Rs. 2,250 will be deducted. Retired employees/pensioners engaged under this notification may draw total pay without deduction and continue to draw pension/dearness relief during the contractual engagement.

Application Fee

Terms of Contract

• Initial tenure of 1 year, extendable up to 3 years (renewed yearly based on performance), or till 70 years of age, or till joining of a regular incumbent, whichever is earliest.
• Contractual engagement may be terminated by either side with 1 month’s prior notice.
• Selected candidates must deposit a security demand draft of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rs. 50,000 for 44-day tenure posts) at the time of joining, forfeited if resigned within 6 months (or during the 44-day tenure).
• Faculty is entitled to 2.5 leaves per month.
• No claim for PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowance, or seniority promotion is admissible.
• Attendance must be marked manually as well as through Aadhar Enabled Bio-metric Attendance System (AEBAS) daily.
• No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining ESIC MCH Ludhiana.
