ESIC Hospital Udyogamandal Recruitment 2026: The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital, Udyogamandal, Ernakulam has announced a Walk-in-Interview for recruitment of Doctors (Allopathy) on contract basis. A total of 43 posts are available across Full Time/Part Time Super Specialists, Full Time/Part Time Specialists, and Senior Residents. The walk-in interview will be held on 17 August 2026 at 9:00 AM at the ESIC Hospital, Udyogamandal, Ernakulam district, Kerala.

1. Full Time Super Specialist (FTSS) / Part Time Super Specialist (PTSS) — 2 Posts

Qualification: FTSS/PTSS Cardiology needs MBBS and MD/DM/DNB (Cardiology). FTSS/PTSS Oncology needs MBBS and MS/MD in Medical Oncology plus MCh/DM/DNB. If no eligible candidate with a super-specialty qualification in Oncology applies, specialists holding radiotherapy qualifications (MDRT/DNB RT or Diploma in RT) with a minimum 3 years’ experience (degree holders) or 5 years’ experience (diploma holders) may be considered in the specialist scale.

Experience: Entry level — Nil. Senior level — 5 years’ experience in the respective specialty after PG.

Remuneration: Full Time Super Specialist — Rs.2,00,000/month (Entry Level), Rs.2,40,000/month (Senior Level). Part Time Super Specialist — Rs.1,00,000/month fixed (Entry Level), Rs.1,50,000/month fixed (Senior Level), for 4 days x 4 hours per week, plus Rs.20,000 for emergency visits if willing, and Rs.1,200-1,500 for every additional hour beyond 16 hours/week.

Age: Not exceeding 69 years as on the date of interview, with relaxation for reserved categories as per rules. Tenure beyond 70 years is not permitted.

2. Full Time Specialist (FTS) / Part Time Specialist (PTS) — 11 Posts

Qualification: MBBS with a PG Degree or Diploma (or equivalent, as per NMC) in the concerned specialty. For ICU, a PG Degree/Diploma in Critical Care, Anaesthesia, General Medicine or Pulmonary Medicine is required, with priority given to postgraduates in Critical Care. For Casualty, preference goes to postgraduates in Critical Care as well; if a Critical Care specialist isn’t available, a PG Degree/Diploma in Anaesthesia, General Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine or Paediatrics may be considered.

Experience: FTS (Entry Level) & PTS — PG Degree with 3 years’ experience, or PG Diploma with 5 years’ experience after PG. FTS (Senior Level) — PG Degree with 5 years’ experience, or PG Diploma with 7 years’ experience after PG.

Remuneration: Full Time Specialist — Rs.1,55,044/month (Entry Level, Level-11 as per 7th CPC), Rs.1,76,541/month (Senior Level). Part Time Specialist — Rs.60,000/month fixed, for 4 hours x 4 days per week, plus Rs.15,000 for emergency visits if willing, and Rs.800 for every additional hour beyond 16 hours/week.

3. Senior Resident (1 Year) — 30 Posts

The department-wise category split for these 30 Senior Resident posts, as per the notice, works out to approximately: UR-5, SC-7, ST-8, OBC-5, EWS-5. General Medicine (6 posts) and OBG (4 posts) carry the largest departmental shares. Candidates should verify the exact category allocated to their specific department against the official notification PDF before attending.

Qualification: PG Degree or PG Diploma in the concerned specialty. If PG candidates are not available, MBBS candidates with 2 years of experience — of which at least 1 year must be in the concerned specialty from a Government or reputed private hospital — may be considered. PG doctors will be given preference in Casualty and Surgery departments. Candidates who have completed 3 years of Senior Residency at any Government institute need not appear for interview for the Senior Resident post.

Remuneration: Approximately Rs.1,55,044/month (Level-11, 7th CPC) for PG Degree holders. A deduction of Rs.1,688 applies for Senior Residents holding only a Diploma, and Rs.2,813 if the candidate holds neither a Diploma nor a Degree.

ESIC Hospital Udyogamandal Recruitment 2026: Terms for Full Time Contract Specialists/Super Specialists

• Recruited for a period of 3 years, with annual evaluation and renewal of term based on satisfactory performance.
• Private practice of any kind will not be allowed.
• Must be available on-call 24×7.
• Responsible for all cases undergoing treatment under their supervision within their discipline.
• Entitled to leave of 4 days per month of work, on a pro-rata basis in a calendar year, encashable up to a maximum limit of 30 days/year if not availed.
• Must hold a Professional Indemnity Policy covering professional liability arising from errors/omissions while rendering services. Minimum annual sum assured: Rs.30 lakh for Anaesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons etc.; Rs.20 lakh for General Surgeons, Gynaecologists, Obstetricians etc.; Rs.10 lakh for Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists etc. A copy of the insurance policy, premium and receipt must be submitted within 7 days of engagement.
