About Digital India BHASHINI Division

The Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD) is an Independent Business Division under Digital India Corporation (DIC), which itself operates under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). DIBD is responsible for managing and executing the activities of the National Language Translation Mission, working to bring together academic institutions, start-ups, and government stakeholders on a single platform to advance language AI technologies across India’s many languages.

Why This Role Sits at the Intersection of Technology and Governance

The Ecosystem Engagement Manager role is distinctive in that it requires both a strong technology consulting background and deep familiarity with how state and central government stakeholders operate, since the position’s core responsibility is to build and manage partnerships between BHASHINI, start-ups, and government agencies. Candidates with prior experience in government-facing technology consulting, digital transformation projects for public sector clients, or working within innovation ecosystems that bridge private enterprise and public administration will find their background particularly well-suited to this dual-facing role.

Understanding the Two Distinct Postings

While both posts share an identical job description and eligibility criteria, the Hyderabad posting is explicitly tied to Telangana, whereas the NER posting covers the broader North East Region without specifying a fixed city, meaning the selected candidate for the NER post should expect to travel extensively across the North Eastern states as part of the role. The notification’s preference for candidates native to the region applied for and fluent in the regional language is especially significant for the NER posting, given the region’s linguistic diversity across states like Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim.

Why Language Technology Expertise Is a Strong Advantage

Although the core requirement is a technical or management degree with consulting experience, the notification explicitly lists exposure to language technology, AI/NLP, language resources, or dataset-related initiatives as an advantage, reflecting BHASHINI’s core mission of building language AI models. Candidates who have worked on language dataset collection, validation, or terminology banks, even in an academic or research capacity, should highlight this experience prominently, since it directly aligns with one of the role’s listed responsibilities around developing language glossaries and domain-specific resources.

Preparing a Strong Application for a Consulting-Style Government Role

Since this role blends technology consulting, government stakeholder management, and ecosystem-building responsibilities, candidates should structure their application and interview preparation around concrete examples of past partnership-building, project execution with government or public sector clients, and any experience organizing large-scale events like hackathons or innovation challenges. Demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity, since this is described as a dynamic role with responsibilities that may be adjusted or expanded over time, will likely resonate well with the selection panel.

Final Word

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria for either the Hyderabad or North East Region Ecosystem Engagement Manager post should apply online at https://ora.digitalindiacorporation.in/ at the earliest, since the notification does not specify a fixed closing date and processing is expected to proceed as applications are received.

A Note on the Absence of a Fixed Deadline

This notification, dated 24th August 2026, does not specify an explicit closing date for applications. Consistent with the practice of presenting only what is stated in the official notice, candidates are advised to apply online without delay and to check the official websites of MeitY, DIC, BHASHINI, and NeGD periodically for any updates or closing-date announcements related to this recruitment.
