Who Can Apply
Shorthand Writer Grade-3 (Hindi) — Educational Qualification
- Graduation from a recognized university.
- Hindi Shorthand and Typing examination passed from a recognized Board.
- Knowledge of Hindi typing on computer.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi (local dialect)/local language is expected.
Assistant Grade-3 (General Cadre) — Educational Qualification
- Graduation from a recognized university.
- 1-year Computer Diploma from a recognized Board/University.
- Knowledge of Hindi and English typing on computer.
- Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi (local dialect)/local language is expected.
Vehicle Driver — Educational Qualification
- Class 8th pass from any recognized Board/institution under any State Government.
- Valid Transport/Commercial vehicle driving licence, and experience of driving all types of vehicles (preference to vehicle mechanics).
- Must be physically fit.
- Knowledge of Chhattisgarhi (local dialect)/local language is expected.
Age Limit
18 to 30 years, as on 1 January 2026. Chhattisgarh local residents get a higher maximum age limit of 40 years.
Age Relaxation
In no circumstance shall the maximum age exceed 45 years, even after applying all relaxations.
Selection Process
For Shorthand Writer / Assistant Grade-3
Phase 1: Written Test — 50 objective-type questions covering General Mental Aptitude, General Knowledge, current affairs, and computer, 1 mark each. Duration 1 hour, with no negative marking. A merit list is prepared based on marks obtained, but preliminary exam marks are not added to the final selection marks used for the skill test stage.
Candidates are called for the Skill Test in the ratio of 1:10 per category based on written test merit (all candidates with equal marks at the cut-off rank are also called).
Phase 2: Skill Test — Shorthand Writer Grade-3 (Total 100 marks)
