About This Recruitment
The Stenographer Grade-III post is a foundational cadre within the Karnataka Subordinate Courts’ clerical and stenographic establishment, responsible for recording dictation, preparing court orders, judgments and correspondence, and supporting judicial officers with day-to-day documentation across the courts functioning under Bengaluru Rural District’s jurisdiction. Given the strict combination of shorthand proficiency (80 wpm in both Kannada and English) and the skill-test-based selection method (120 wpm dictation transcribed via computer), this recruitment specifically targets candidates who have already developed strong bilingual stenographic skills, typically through formal shorthand training recognized by the Department of Public Instruction. For candidates meeting these skill requirements, a Stenographer Grade-III post offers a stable Karnataka Government judicial-service career with a defined pay scale, NPS coverage, and a clear promotional pathway within the subordinate courts’ clerical hierarchy.
