• A 5.5-year BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) degree, OR
• A 3-year degree – BOA(Yoga)/BASc(Yoga)/MSc(Yoga)/MA(Yoga) – plus at least 1 year of relevant experience, OR
• A PG Diploma in Yoga (minimum 1-year course) plus at least 2 years of experience, OR
• A “Yoga Wellness Instructor” certificate from the Yog Certification Board, New Delhi, plus at least 1 year of experience.

Age: Minimum 21 years as on 21.09.2026. There’s no strict upper cap – healthy candidates up to 65 years are preferred, and local residents of the concerned Health & Wellness Centre area get preference in selection.

What This Role Pays

Male instructors get Rs 8,000 per month, while female instructors get Rs 5,000 per month. This is a consolidated, contractual honorarium – not a regular government salary.

What the Job Actually Involves

Once selected, you sign a contract and must take charge within 15 working days – miss that window and your selection is automatically cancelled. Male instructors must conduct at least 32 yoga sessions per term at their assigned Health & Wellness Centre, each session running a minimum of 1 hour. Female instructors must run at least 20 yoga classes for women’s groups, also a minimum of 1 hour each. This is engaged under the National AYUSH Mission for a period of 1 year, and can be renewed after a mandatory minimum 15-day gap between contracts, subject to the scheme’s continuation.

Terms You Should Know Before Applying

• This is purely a contractual engagement against no sanctioned post – it does not entitle you to any claim for a regular State Government position.
• You’ll be governed by the Government Conduct Rules applicable to State employees, and your engagement can be terminated immediately without notice if your character verification turns up anything adverse, or with one month’s notice if your work isn’t found satisfactory.
• A notarized affidavit is required declaring that all your submitted marksheets and documents are genuine – if any document is later found fake, your candidature will be cancelled and you’ll be personally liable.
• Document scrutiny and interview will be conducted by a Committee; only candidates who clear document scrutiny will be called for interview, and a separate notice will be sent for that.
• The Selection Committee’s decision is final, and no claims against it will be entertained. The Committee also reserves the right to amend or cancel this notification at any time.
