Teaching Faculty

• Professor: Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Fine Art or equivalent, with First Class or equivalent in either Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from a recognized University, and Ph.D or equivalent in the appropriate discipline. Desirable: Post-Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D students. Experience: minimum 10 years teaching/research/industrial experience, of which at least 5 years at Associate Professor level, or a minimum of 13 years experience in teaching and/or research and/or industry.
• Associate Professor: Same essential qualification as Professor (Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Fine Art or equivalent, First Class or equivalent, Ph.D or equivalent). Desirable: Post-Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D students. Experience: minimum 5 years teaching/research/industry experience, of which 2 years post-Ph.D experience is desirable.

Eligibility Conditions for Part-Time Faculty

As per the official notice, three categories of persons are considered for engagement as Part-Time Faculty/Guest Teacher:

1. In-service lecturers/staff working under DTTE (Directorate of Training and Technical Education), for part-time teaching in evening Diploma courses, on hourly basis.
2. Retired faculty/staff of DTTE, engaged to teach or assist in teaching only, up to the level at which they were working at retirement.
3. Any other candidates eligible as per qualification of notified Recruitment Rules approved by DTTE/AICTE/UGC/University.

Applicants in Category 1 will be considered only if sufficient eligible candidates are not available in Categories 2 and 3.
