Looking for a government job this year? A new recruitment notification has been released by the Airports Authority of India. This recruitment offers 389 vacancies for the posts of Manager and Junior Executive across fifteen different disciplines. Candidates from all over India can apply. Before filling the application form, check the eligibility, salary, age limit and selection process explained below.
The Airports Authority of India is a Schedule ‘A’ Mini Ratna Category-1 Public Sector Enterprise that manages airport operations across the country. This notification, Advertisement No. 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT, covers Manager posts in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Finance, IT, Architecture, Law, Fire Services, Operations, Commercial, Corporate Planning and Corporate Communications, along with Junior Executive posts in Finance, Law, Operations and Survey & Cartography. With such a wide spread of disciplines, this is one of the biggest AAI hiring drives in recent times.
AAI Recruitment 2026 – Highlights
This table gives you a quick summary of the whole recruitment. Out of 389 posts, the Manager cadre alone has 260 vacancies spread across eleven disciplines, while the Junior Executive cadre has 129 vacancies across four disciplines. Operations, Civil Engineering and Finance carry the highest number of openings this year.
Since AAI is a Mini Ratna Central Public Sector Enterprise, these posts come with strong pay scales, allowances and long-term career stability. Candidates can apply for more than one post code if they meet the eligibility for each, though every application needs separate registration and a separate fee payment.
Who Can Apply
Candidates who hold the required degree or postgraduate qualification for their chosen discipline, along with the necessary post-qualification work experience, can apply for these posts. Experience must come from Central or State Government departments, Public Sector Undertakings, or large private organisations meeting AAI’s defined size and turnover criteria.
Junior Executive (Finance) and Junior Executive (Law) posts do not require prior work experience, while all Manager posts and the other Junior Executive posts require three years of relevant post-qualification experience. Indian nationals meeting the age and qualification criteria for their chosen post code are eligible.

SC, ST, PwBD and Women candidates, along with Apprentices who have completed one year of Apprenticeship Training in AAI, are fully exempted from paying this fee. The fee is non-refundable, except in cases of duplicate payment, which are refunded after the application closing date.
Salary
Manager posts fall under Group A, E-3 level, with an IDA pay scale of Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1,80,000, carrying an approximate annual CTC of Rs. 21 lakhs. Candidates already working in Central Public Sector Enterprises, State PSUs or Government departments may also get pay protection as per DPE guidelines.
Selection Process
The selection process for all 15 post codes starts with a Computer Based Test and continues through a few more stages depending on the discipline.
- Computer Based Test (CBT): An objective type test with no negative marking, common to all posts. The detailed syllabus will be uploaded separately on the AAI website.
- Application Verification/Subsequent Tests: Candidates shortlisted from the CBT go through document and application verification.
- Interview: Applicable for Post Codes 1 to 11, meaning all Manager posts.
- Physical Tests for Fire Services: Manager (Fire Services) candidates additionally undergo a Physical Measurement Test, Driving Test and Physical Endurance Test, which includes running, casualty carrying, pole climbing and rope climbing.
Shortlisting for later stages is based purely on CBT performance. Candidates applying for Operations and Fire Services posts must hold a valid permanent LMV licence, and Fire Services selectees must acquire a Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence within two years of joining. Fire Services candidates also need to sign a surety bond of Rs. 5 lakhs to serve AAI for at least 3 years after training. Colour blindness and night blindness lead to rejection for all posts except Manager (Finance) and Junior Executive (Finance).

Keep the following documents ready before starting your online application.
