  2. Pay the applicable Application Processing Fee online and retain the payment receipt.
  3. Visit the application portal at wiirp.com/application.php and fill the online application form for your chosen position(s).
  4. Upload all supporting documents and the fee payment receipt; submit a separate application with its own fee for each position if applying for more than one (maximum two positions allowed).

Why You Should Apply

This is a rare opportunity to work on flagship national conservation initiatives, including the “Bringing Back Cheetah in India” project, at India’s premier wildlife research institute, with competitive project-based remuneration up to Rs 67,000/month and a transparent, marks-based shortlisting process.

Preparation Tips

  • Since you can apply for a maximum of two positions, choose the ones best matching your specialization and experience, and submit a separate application with its own fee for each.
  • Highlight any relevant field experience (camera trapping, GIS/remote sensing, biodiversity surveys, statistical modelling in R) explicitly, as this feeds directly into the shortlisting marks.
  • If you hold UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET with JRF or WII-NET, ensure this is clearly documented, as it carries dedicated marks for senior-level positions.
  • Prepare your NOC in advance if you are currently engaged with a WII project or are a PhD scholar – it must not be older than one month from the last date of application.
