- ✓12 years of experience in the executive cadre in General Administration, Personnel or Industrial Relations.
- ✓A PG degree or diploma in Personnel Management or Social Work, or a Law degree, is desirable.

- ✓Officers of Major Ports in analogous posts, with pay of ₹60,000 to ₹1,80,000.
- ✓They need 3 years of service in the grade.
- ✓Or a Deputy Secretary in the ₹50,000 to ₹1,60,000 scale, with 7 years of combined service.
