Eligibility: Qualification and Age Limit
Assistant Teacher Primary (Urban)
- ✓A graduate degree from a recognised university.
- ✓A recognised primary teacher training qualification such as BTC, D.El.Ed, or a special education diploma.
- ✓A pass in the teacher eligibility test (TET).
Assistant Teacher Sambaddh Primary
- ✓A graduate degree from a recognised university.
- ✓BTC or D.El.Ed recognised by NCTE.
- ✓The corrigendum now also accepts the 2 year special education diploma from RCI.
- ✓The corrigendum also accepts the 4 year B.El.Ed degree.
- ✓A pass in the teacher eligibility test for Class 1 to 5.
Age relaxation
- ✓5 years for SC, ST and OBC candidates in the Urban Primary post.
- ✓15 years for disabled candidates.
- ✓3 years extra for ex-servicemen, on top of their service period.
