Good news for job seekers in Kerala. A fresh recruitment drive has come up for a project under the Travancore Devaswom Board, and the hiring process is being handled by the Centre for Management Development (CMD), which is a Kerala Government body. There are 8 posts open in total, and the best part is that candidates from different education backgrounds can apply — from 10th pass to graduates. Let’s understand the full process step by step.

This table gives you the full picture in one go. Even if you’re short on time, just reading this much will tell you whether you fit the eligibility or not. Now let’s look at each post separately, since the vacancy count and qualification differ for every post.

Post Wise Vacancy Table

Post NameVacancyQualification (Short)
System Administrator1Degree in Computer Science/IT/Electronics
Clerk2Any Bachelor’s Degree
Accountant2B.Com (CA/CMA/MBA Finance is added advantage)
Office Assistant310th Pass (SSLC)

Most seats are for Office Assistant, so if you have just passed 10th, this is your best shot. Graduates can try for Clerk, or go for System Administrator/Accountant depending on their subject. Don’t get put off by the “official-sounding” post names — check the qualification first before deciding.

Eligibility Details – Post Wise

For System Administrator: You need a degree in Computer Science, IT, or Electronics from a recognised university. You should be comfortable running Windows and Linux servers, understand basic networking, and have some experience in IT helpdesk or system support work. At least 1 year of experience is asked for, and if you’ve worked on a government IT project before, that’s a plus point. Certificates like CompTIA A+ or Network+ will also work in your favour.

For Clerk: There’s no restriction on subject here — any graduate can apply. What matters is that you should be comfortable with MS Word, Excel, and general file handling. If you’ve worked in any office for at least 1 year, whether government or private, you’re eligible. Experience in a government office setup gives you a slight edge.

For Accountant: A B.Com degree is the basic requirement. If you also hold CA Inter, CMA Inter, or an MBA in Finance, your application becomes stronger. You should know accounting software like Tally and be comfortable with double-entry bookkeeping. Experience requirement here is a bit higher — at least 2 years. If you’ve worked with government treasury systems or payroll software before, it will help.

For Office Assistant: This is the simplest one — just 10th pass (SSLC) is enough. You should be able to operate basic office equipment like printers and scanners. Good communication in Malayalam is expected, basic English is fine. 1 year of experience is preferred, but freshers can also try if they have some basic office exposure.

One thing common across all posts — the age limit is 40 years, calculated as on 1 July 2026. Age relaxation will apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and Ex-servicemen candidates, but you’ll need to show valid certificates for that.

How to Apply – Step by Step Guide

The entire process is online, so there’s no need to send any physical copy of your form anywhere. Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to the official CMD Kerala website.
  2. Look for the TDB PMU recruitment notice on the homepage.
  3. Read through the full notification once, so you’re clear about which post suits you best.
  4. Click on the apply online link and register using your email ID and mobile number.
  5. Fill in all the required details in the form — don’t leave any field blank.
  6. Upload your scanned photograph (under 200 KB, JPG format) and signature (under 50 KB, JPG format).
  7. Upload your educational certificates. Remember — only original or provisional certificates are accepted, not mark sheets.
  8. Pay the ₹500 application fee plus transaction charges online.
  9. Double-check your entire form before hitting submit, since corrections aren’t allowed after submission.
  10. Save a PDF copy or take a printout of your submitted form for future reference.

Keep your email and phone number active throughout the process, because all further updates — call letters, results — will come only through these.
