Vacancy Details

The 3,003 vacancies are spread across dozens of Central Government ministries and departments, such as the Ministry of Mines and Ministry of Law & Justice, at Pay Levels 1 to 8. Each post has its own post code, with a separate vacancy count, qualification and age limit listed in Annexure-III of the official notification. Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)

The age limit is fixed separately for each post and ranges from 18-25 years up to 23-28 years, depending on the post code. Check Annexure-III for the exact age limit of your chosen post.

Educational Qualification

• Matriculation Level Posts: 10th standard pass from a recognized board.
• Higher Secondary Level Posts: 12th standard (10+2) pass from a recognized board.
• Graduation Level Posts: A degree from a recognized university, or equivalent.

Application Fee

Fee can be paid online only, through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay Card. The fee once paid is not refunded under any circumstances.

Salary

Selected candidates get Pay Level 1 to Level 8, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission matrix, depending on the specific post they are selected for. The exact pay level for each post code is given in Annexure-III of the official notification.

Selection Process

1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE): Three separate objective-type exams are held for Matriculation, Higher Secondary and Graduate level posts.
2. Skill Test: For posts that require it (such as Typing or Data Entry), a qualifying-nature skill test is conducted.
3. Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the CBE upload documents for scrutiny by the concerned User Department.

CBE Exam Pattern

Total duration is 60 minutes, with a 15-minute sectional timer for each part. There is negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. The exam is held in Hindi and English only, and the medium must be chosen at the application stage.
