• A Master degree in Library Science, Information Science or Documentation with at least 55% marks.
• At least 5 years as a Librarian in a university or college library.
• Or 5 years as an Assistant Professor of Library Science.
• Proof of innovative library services using ICT.
• A PhD in Library Science or a related field.

Desirable

• Experience in setting up a new library.
• Digital library and institutional repository work on DSpace or Greenstone.
• Library automation with Koha or SOUL.
• UGC NET or SET in Library Science, and knowledge of Malayalam.
